STATE OF ALASKA OFFICE OF LONG TERM CARE OMBUDSMAN
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, AKST Monday to Friday
Every state and territory has a Long-Term Care (LTC) Ombudsman program dedicated to advocating for the rights and well-being of residents in assisted living and nursing homes. In Alaska, the LTC Ombudsman program operates under federal and state law to ensure the safety, dignity, and welfare of older adults residing in long-term care facilities across the state.
Alaska’s LTC Ombudsman program is housed within the Department of Revenue and administered by the Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority. The program’s office is located at 3745 Community Park Loop, Suite 200, in Anchorage, where it works to uphold the rights of long-term care residents through advocacy, investigation, and resolution of concerns affecting their quality of life.
