UNIVERSITY OF LOUISVILLE HOSPITAL

Located in downtown Louisville, UofL Hospital serves as an academic teaching and research hospital, anchoring the Louisville Metro area. Renowned for its exceptional healthcare offerings, the hospital boasts a world-class cancer center, a distinguished trauma team, and a nationally accredited stroke center, showcasing the latest advancements in medical care.

As the sole Level I Trauma Center in the region, UofL Hospital admits over 3,000 patients annually, with approximately 1,500 hailing from areas beyond Jefferson County and its environs. Within its trauma care spectrum lies a comprehensive burn unit, further highlighting the hospital’s commitment to specialized care. In February 2013, the University of Louisville Hospital attained the distinction of being the first Joint Commission-certified Comprehensive Stroke Center in Kentucky and the 20th in the nation.
