Gadsden Regional Medical Center today stands as a comprehensive healthcare provider, offering an extensive array of services to meet the diverse needs of its community. With facilities such as a Women’s and Children’s Center, Women’s Resource Center, and specialized services in orthopedics, wound care, neurosurgery, stroke care, cardiac services, rehabilitation, speech therapy, outpatient imaging, pulmonology/critical care, neurology, obstetrics, and gynecology, it caters to a wide spectrum of health care needs. The Emergency Department is a critical component of the center, accommodating over 40,000 patient visits annually. In 2020, the addition of the Gadsden Surgery Center, a 13,800 square foot ambulatory surgery center equipped with four operating rooms and two gastrointestinal and procedure suites, marked a significant expansion of its service capacity.

The hospital itself is a sprawling nine-story facility, spanning over 700,000 square feet and situated on a 40-acre campus. It is licensed for 346 beds and is supported by a dedicated staff of 1,300 employees, alongside over 175 providers. The facility boasts comprehensive care amenities, including three critical care units, three behavioral health units, 18 operating rooms, two catheterization laboratories, and five gastrointestinal rooms, demonstrating its commitment to providing high-quality health care services across a broad range of specialties.
