COOSA VALLEY MEDICAL CENTER

Coosa Valley Medical Center (CVMC), recognized as the region’s most contemporary acute-care hospital, celebrated the opening of its West Wing in June 2007. As an independent, community, non-profit medical center, it boasts 168 licensed beds, which include 148 acute-care beds and a 20-bed Senior Behavioral Unit, all accredited by the Joint Commission. The medical center is supported by a dedicated workforce of approximately 490 employees and 60 volunteers, alongside a medical staff that includes around 40 active members and nearly 100 courtesy, consulting, and Emergency Department staff members.

The center operates a 13-bed Level Two Emergency Department, attending to roughly 30,000 patients annually. Additionally, its Ambulatory/Outpatient Services cater to 61,000 patients each year. Coosa Valley Medical Center is renowned for its commitment to quality care and service, offering a broad spectrum of clinical services and medical specialties through its facilities and staff. Following the inauguration of the new acute-care West Wing, the center has pursued numerous renovation and service expansion projects, continually aiming to fulfill the evolving needs of the communities it serves.
