AGING AND INDEPENDENCE SERVICES
8:00 am – 5:00 pm, PST Monday to Friday.
The Older Americans Act programs provide a comprehensive array of services designed to support older adults in maintaining their independence and quality of life. These programs include Community-Based Care Transitions, which help seniors transition from hospital care to home, and Adult Protective Services, which safeguard vulnerable adults from abuse, neglect, and exploitation. Additionally, In-Home Supportive Services offer critical assistance to seniors who need help with daily activities to remain living in their homes.
Other essential services include the Medicaid program, which provides healthcare assistance to low-income individuals, and Veterans Services, which ensures veterans receive the benefits and support they deserve. The Public Guardian and Public Conservator programs protect the rights and interests of individuals who are unable to manage their affairs. The Medicaid Case Management Waiver program is also available to support those with long-term care needs, ensuring they receive the necessary care and resources to live independently and with dignity.
