A pivotal moment in the hospital’s extensive history unfolded on January 2, 2019, as Shawnee Mission Health, alongside all Adventist Health System entities, underwent rebranding as AdventHealth. This transformation saw Shawnee Mission Medical Center rechristened as AdventHealth Shawnee Mission, while the Prairie Star and Overland Park campuses were respectively renamed AdventHealth Lenexa and AdventHealth South Overland Park. The network also encompasses AdventHealth Centra Care and AdventHealth Medical Group sites across Johnson County, Kansas.
