The Adult Protective and Community Services Branch includes Adult Protective Services (APS), a mandated service that provides crisis intervention for vulnerable adults without regard to income. APS offers investigations and emergency services for individuals reported to be victims of abuse, neglect, or financial exploitation. The program plays a vital role in safeguarding the well-being of at-risk adults by addressing immediate needs and ensuring their protection.
In addition to APS, the branch also offers community services such as the Foster Grandparent Program and the Senior Companion Program. These programs provide opportunities for older adults to contribute to their communities while receiving support and companionship. Through these initiatives, the Adult Protective and Community Services Branch promotes the dignity, security, and involvement of older adults in their communities.
